Cancellation Policy for Medical Clinic Appointments
At Dr H Consult, we strive to provide exceptional healthcare services to our patients. To ensure the smooth operation of our clinic and respect the time of both our medical practitioners and patients, we have established the following cancellation policy for appointments:
1. Appointment Booking:
- To secure an appointment for an initial consultation that costs £150, patients are required to make a deposit of £50 prior to the appointment.
- The deposit can be made using a secure payment link provided by our clinic.
- For online consultations, the full £150 consultation fee will be paid in advance.
No-Refund Policy for Medical Consultations
All consultation fees are non-refundable once the booking is confirmed. This includes:
- Missed appointments
- Late cancellations
- Dissatisfaction with consultation outcome
Consultation fees are charged for the clinician’s time and expertise, not for a guaranteed medical result.
2.1 Rescheduling
Patients may reschedule appointments by providing at least 72 hours’ notice.
Requests to reschedule with less than 72 hours’ notice may incur a fee or require a new booking.
2.2 Clinic Delays and Lateness
We aim to provide timely care. However, due to the nature of medical practice, delays may occur.
- If we expect a delay of more than 60 minutes, patients will be informed at the earliest opportunity.
- If the delay exceeds 60 minutes and the patient cannot wait, the patient may choose to:
- Reschedule at no additional cost, or
- Request a full refund of the consultation fee.
2.3 Service Quality
Our clinicians are committed to providing care with reasonable skill and professionalism in line with UK law and regulatory standards.
- If a patient believes their consultation did not meet these standards, they may raise a concern within 5 days.
- Remedies may include a repeat consultation or partial refund, where appropriate.
2.4 Exceptions
Refunds will only be issued in the following situations:
- Duplicate or accidental payment
- Provider cancellation where no suitable alternative is offered
- Agreed refund due to significant delay or service issue (as described in Section 2.2)
2.5 Patient Acknowledgement
By booking a consultation with DrH Consult, patients confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to this No-Refund Policy.
3. Procedure Appointment Booking and Cancellation:
- To secure a procedure appointment, patients must pay a deposit, which will be a fraction of the total cost of the procedure. This deposit is required to confirm the appointment slot.
- Procedures must be cancelled at least 28 days before the scheduled appointment date to avoid losing the deposit.
- If the patient reschedules the procedure to a later date and then cancels, the deposit will be forfeited regardless of the rescheduling.
4. Rescheduling:
- If a patient needs to reschedule either a consultation or procedure appointment, we kindly request that they reach out to us as soon as possible. Our clinic will make every effort to accommodate rescheduling requests, subject to availability.
5. Exceptions:
- In cases of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, our clinic may consider exceptions to the cancellation policy at our discretion. Such exceptions will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Patients are encouraged to communicate with our clinic regarding their situation.
